| Unfortunately,
creating kaleidoscopes yourself can be time-consuming (if
not bewildering.) You probably know the process:
1. Determine how many copies of your photo are needed (based
on the number of "pie wedges" you want in your kaleidoscope.)
2. Find a lab that understands what you are talking about
when you ask for half of those copies to be printed as reverse
images.
3. Make another trip to the photo lab to pick up your copies.
4. Determine what portion of the photo you want to use for
the kaleidoscope and draw the cutting lines. (Even if you
have a kaleidoscope template, you have to make sure it's lined
up exactly the same on each photo.)
5.When cutting each photo, make sure that the lines are perfectly
straight so that you don't end up with any gaps in seams of
your kaleidoscope.
6. Put the pieces together and hope that you like the result!
Whew! Is it any wonder that most people don't
include kaleidoscopes in their scrapbooks? It's a shame though,
because kaleidoscopes add a unique dimension to scrapbooks.
